Safe but free !

Europe, Middle East, South and North America, Africa, Asia, here or elsewhere...

It seemed that novembre was going to be a particularly mild month, I'm obviously talking about the weather.

Now, november is bloody and black.

September. January. November.

This sad dates darken our calendar. And I purposefully forget some dates.

When Paris was devastated, I was in Nantes, having happy time.

In shock, I watched the images of my old Parisian district, where I lived for many years. These were cheerful, frendly and creative years. I know every place ravaged by the madness of a handful of fanatics. In each of thems lie a thousand memories of mine.

I see pictures of my friends, my family, my faithful friends peering through a French flag.

And I think that we should have a graphic and symbolic sign which would suit us all. Universal. Cosmopolitan. Because it is our collective story. Since the first attacks in Paris in the 80s. Since the death struck America in 2001. Since the dawn of humanity, probably. When the other is the target of hatred just because she or he is different, we really have a problem.

And while I'm getting ready to go travelling the world, and yet I hear only of borders, walls, fears ...

And, I think: do not give up, nothing, never.

Our most essential freedoms, now under control, should never to be restricted because of lobbies.

How can we accept that? For the sake of safety? But what kind of security? For a thousand reasons, we are not safe. If we lose our freedoms for an illusion of safety, who wins?

So, what kind of freedom can we dream of when our countries are closing in on themselves? Who wins? Shall we refuse welcome the refugees, because of a handful of fanatic killers?

This situation breaks my heart, and pushes me to resist. Always more.

The show must go on!

Because we are still standing.
